Preface:

Although this unfinished idea of a paper was initiated through a college assignment, I, believe it or not, had fun devising it. The idea is this: Designing a huge, symmetrical building, divvying it up into different modular pieces, and then selling those designs to companies as limited edition collector's "pieces". Think of it like an old movie studio selling movie stills after they're done with the film. Although I have no clue how this idea could be launched as a business, I think it could be cool if a country had different pieces of a greater Capitol building spread out amongst its States' Capitols — all of them making a design when looked at from satellite view or something. What do you think?

A Subsidiary Idea of LIBERUM CONTRARIUM

IMAGINE AN architecture firm where designs are not chosen and sold merely for aesthetics or price, but are a part of a single, meaningful, and unfolding design and story? Would you not want the next piece of the story, of which only PARADIGM: SHIFT TECHNOLOGIES could provide? Like collectors of animation gels or old blockbuster film cells, could you not see multi-billion-dollar companies vying and bidding for the next building of the design? Not only could there be potential fervor over what our up-and-coming designs might be, but new material sciences used in their construction. Expanding out, PARADIGM could apply their focus to not only integrating technology into its designs, but into other fields completely.

DESIGN BASED ON a single, cohesive language. Much like how nature and mathematics are compatible and inseparable to each other, PARADIGM proposes the same for each and every one of their designs. As stated before, PARADIGM’s designs tell a story, piece by piece. But how is that accomplished? Because each design originates from our proprietary design language, each design will not only congruently tell a story, but be compatible with each other. Imagine a grocery list of separate ingredients: what if, not only those ingredients were listed in order of how to make a cake, but also in such a way that every possible variation of that cake was also listed compatibly?
